Preparing you to become adoptive parents is our foremost responsibility. We intend to build that foundation for a successful adoption with you. You may have a lot of questions about the adoption procedure, but you do not have to worry. We at Adoption Services Worldwide will guide you throughout the adoption process. We want you to understand each vital step as to ensure the realization of your dream.

The first step in the adoption process is for you, parents-to-be, to undergo a home study with us. Next, we will review the required documents to verify that you are an eligible adoptive parents. Depending on the content of your home study, we will then conduct either a family interview or individual interviews with each applicant. To ensure the welfare of the adoptee, we will conduct abuse/neglect background checks aside from the Criminal History clearance we require.

As adoptive parents, you must also do your share in educating yourself with regards to adoption issues. You must familiarize yourself with parenting issues and concerns, bonding, and special needs. This will help you cope with situations that might arise in the future. Some adoptive parents find that joining an adoption support group is helpful and informative. There might be some training centers within your area. Feel free to get in touch with them. You can also read books, articles and attend seminars that tackle adoption issues. We will then assess the level of your understanding and help you receive further training that will enhance your potential as adoptive parents.
